The Majestic Star Casino, LLC (the "Company") announced today that it has hired David S. Schugar as the new Vice President and General Manager of Fitzgeralds Casino Hotel Tunica ("Fitzgeralds Tunica"). Fitzgeralds Tunica is owned by Barden Mississippi Gaming, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Majestic Star Casino, LLC.
Mr. Don H. Barden, the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "Dave Schugar is an excellent addition to our executive team. He has over twenty years experience in the gaming industry, having worked at large casino resorts on the Las Vegas strip and serving as the general manager of casino hotel properties in both Nevada and Tunica, Mississippi. Dave will provide a different perspective and new ideas for our Fitzgeralds Tunica property which will assist us in enhancing the guest experience and the profitability of the property in what has become an increasingly competitive market."
