| Point Edward Charity Casino hosts the largest-ever Ultimate Poker Challenge 2005 |
Point Edward Charity Casino is hosting the Ultimate Poker Challenge 2005. From September 20 to 24, poker players can participate in four no-limit Texas Hold'em Poker tournaments for an estimated $450,000 prize pool.
First place winners in any of the three warm-up tournaments on Tuesday, September 20, Wednesday, September 21 or Thursday, September 22 will also win a spot in the $1,000 Ultimate Poker Tournament on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24. A total of sixty participants from the $1,000 Ultimate Poker Tournament will advance to the Final Tables on Sunday, September 25.
Entry fees and administration fees apply to all four tournaments.
- Tuesday, September 20 - $100 entry fee plus $10 administration fee
- Wednesday, September 21 - $200 entry plus $15 administration fee
- Thursday, September 22 - $500 entry fee plus $25 administration fee
- Friday, September 23 or Saturday, September 24 $1000 Ultimate Poker
Tournament plus $40 administration fee

Registration for all four tournaments begins Monday, August 1, 2005 at 8:30 a.m. Participants may register by calling toll-free at 1-888-394-6244 or in person at the gift shop located in any of the five Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLGC) Charity Casinos - Point Edward Charity Casino, Brantford Charity Casino, Thunder Bay Charity Casino, Thousand Islands Charity Casino, and Casino Sault Ste. Satellite Tournaments - Win a seat through satellite tournaments at participating sites.
Poker players at charity casinos in Ontario can also get in on the action through satellite tournaments taking place at participating OLGC Charity Casinos beginning Monday August 8 and running until Friday, September 16. Participating charity casinos include Point Edward Charity Casino, Thunder Bay Charity Casino, Brantford Charity Casino and Casino Sault Ste. Marie.
Participants may enter to win seats in either the Thursday, September 22nd $500 No Limit Tournament or the Friday, September 23rd or Saturday, September 24th $1000 Ultimate Poker Tournament. First place winners from each participating charity casino satellite tournament will be awarded a seat in the Ultimate Poker Challenge tournament (includes administration and entry fees).
